1        INTRODUCTION

The full text of the paper should be uploaded to the congress online system by logging in to http://peyzajkongresi.org/bys2019/pmo/bys/author/upload.php with the paper number (ID) and password set by the author.

Proceedings which are not written according to the guideline and not presented at the Congress will not be included in the congress book.

 

2        PAPER LAYOUT

2.1       Writing Media and Language

The fulltext should be prepared in Microsoft Word (MS) and uploaded to the system. Images, if any, must be inserted into the text in such a way that they are readable and in high resolution.

The fulltext language can be in Turkish or English.

2.2       Page Structure

2.2.1      Paper title and authors

The first letter of the paper title, and in case of the use of colon the first letter of the first word should be capitalized.

Corresponding author should be indicated in the case of multiple authored papers.

2.2.2      Page layout

The number of pages including tables, figures, etc. should not exceed 8 pages for oral presentations and 3 pages for poster presentations.

2.2.2.1     Oral presentations

Fulltext should be written on A4 size pages using 10 point Arial font.

Fulltext should be prepared on the A4 normed page with margins of 3.5 cm from the left and right, 5.5 cm from the top and 4 cm from the bottom, not exceeding a 14×20 cm frame. The text should not go beyond this frame and the main text should be justified.

There should be no spaces at the beginning of paragraphs. The paragraph indent must be left: “0” and right: “0”. “6” nk space should be left before and after the paragraph. Line spacing should be “1,5”.

2.2.2.2     Poster presentations

Poster papers should be prepared both in A4 size for publication (according to the rules of oral presentation above) and in A0 size (portrait) for poster exhibition.

 

2.2.2.3     Figures and tables

Fonts in tables and figures should be 9 punto or less than 9 punto but readable, and they should be prepared according to the examples given in Figure 1 and Table 1.

3        WRITING RULES

3.1       Main Sections

The fulltext should consist of ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS and METHODS, FINDINGS, RESULTS and DISCUSSIONS, CONCLUSION (non-compulsory) ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (if any) and REFERENCES sections.

The introductory section should clearly state what is done and what the purpose is. The literature review may also be included in this section. It is recommended to include references to papers from peer reviewed periodicals mainly.

In the method section, the studies carried out to achieve the purpose should be explained in a systematically structured manner and in the light of the existing literature.

It should be a single section as “Results and Discussion” or if necessary, can be split into separate “Results” and “Discussion” sections. In the discussion section results must be discussed in the light of previous literature justifying your findings.

In the non-compulsory section of contribution section, the contribution of the results to scientific and/or professional knowledge (especially to the profession of landscape architecture) should be evaluated.

3.2       Headings

First-degree headings should be capitalized, second-degree headings should be capitalized with the first letter of each word, and the others should be written in lowercase. Third-order headings should be capitalized with the first letter of the first word, and all other words with lowercase. The headings should be numbered hierarchically (eg 1 and 1.1).

3.3       References and Other Writing Rules

References should be written in 8 points.

All references should be written based on APA standards. Other writing rules not defined above should be also based on APA. The following links can be used for this purpose.
